One especially recommendable is the herring salad with potatoes and beans. It is not only very healthy, but also extremely filling, therefore it is perfect for a nutritious dinner, as an addition to dinner or an appetizer at various types of parties. Moreover, it is really simple and cheap to prepare.

How to make such a salad?

FISH SALAD WITH RED BEANS

ingredients:

  • about a cup of canned red beans
  • 20 a dag of potatoes
  • 30 a dag of salted herring
  • one medium-sized apple
  • one medium-sized onion
  • 10 a dag of gherkin cucumbers
  • a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • citric acid
  • tablespoon of chopped parsley
  • mustard
  • sugar
  • salt and pepper

A method of preparing:

Where to start? First, soak the herring in water with about two tablespoons of vinegar, for at least two hours. In the meantime, we scrub the potatoes and cook them in their jackets, then we peel them and cool them down. Red canned beans must be drained from the pickle.
