CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH PEARS

CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH PEARS

Some time ago I was very pleasantly gifted with pears. A whole grid of pears. Little ones, from the backyard tree, that no one really cares about very much. The tree is growing, determines its own greatness, and when it arises, it does not wait for the attention of the hosts, it just drops the ripe fruit to the ground by itself. And because it is a "home use" tree, no one is trying to make good fruit from it, ruddy, that would please potential buyers. That is why the pear fruit is tiny, the size of maybe half a regular pear. For this reason, that no one tries to force it to artificially improve it - the fruit spoils quickly, eat them a few days after harvesting, otherwise they will rot. I was afraid to look in the seed nest if it has worms, but given, that no one is splashing her with anything - surely I would find a few. But fortunately no one eats the seeds. So having a whole grid of pears and knowing, that I have to do something with them quickly, so that they do not rot (how much can you eat ...) decided to make a cake. Chocolate, and how. But I didn't want to, that pears were the main ingredient - it was supposed to be a chocolate cake with pears, not pears covered with a thin layer of dough. That's why I just put them on top. And I achieved the intended effect. The cake turned out very fluffy, chocolate, sweet but with noticeable pears. I gave a lot of pears, that is why every bite combines everything that is rich in a dough. Chocolate in this case is very advisable - although it can be replaced with cocoa, however, then the taste will be different, more bitter, insipid, and thanks to the chocolate it is deep, really good!

Ingredients:
• 120 g dark chocolate
• 80 g of butter
• 120 g of sugar
• 2 eggs
• 150 g of flour
• ½ a heaped teaspoon of baking powder
• 200 g pears

Peel the pears, remove the seed pockets, cut as you like. I divided it into halves and cut each half into feathers without cutting them to the end (thanks to this, the pear halves could be arranged in a fan, keeping its shape).
In a bowl, steaming, melt the chocolate and butter. Add sugar - mix, then cool. When the chocolate is at room temperature, add the eggs, mixing after each addition. Finally, add the flour and baking powder. Mix thoroughly and pour the dough into the mold (o boku 17 cm) lined with baking paper. Place the pears on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius by approx 50 – 60 minutes, until the stick is inserted into the dough, it will be dry when taken out. After this time, remove the dough and let it cool down.

Enjoy your meal!
