A modest and very tasty coffee cake

15 a dag of butter or margarine, 15 dag sugar powder, 4 haha, 3 teaspoons of "Maracana" coffee extract”, a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon, freshly grated peel of half an orange or a lemon, ok. 30 a dag of flour, half a single serving of baking powder, half a bar of dark chocolate Icing: 10 dag sugar powder, a heaped teaspoon of coffee extract, half a teaspoon of cocoa, ok. 2 tablespoons of boiling water or boiling milk

Cream the butter with powdered sugar, so that a fluffy mass is formed. Add, constantly grinding, 4 egg yolks and a pinch of salt, followed by sifted coffee extract and cinnamon and grated orange or lemon peel. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift it through a sieve to the prepared mass. Beat the egg whites until stiff and put on the flour. Pour the crushed chocolate onto the foam and gently mix all the ingredients. Put the dough into a well-greased cake pan, then put into a preheated oven. Bake at medium temperature (ok. 200°C) for approx. 50 min. The next day, coat the grandmother with the still warm icing.

Grate the icing with powdered sugar, coffee extract and cocoa, by adding boiling milk or water. Grandmother tastes best after 2-3 days.
