Yes, my dear, because some people drink coffee, others - they love. And there is no word of exaggeration here. Coffee has its own, tempting world, to whom some have succumbed ... For example us: coffee walkers, following the paths of a truly divine drink.
By what paths it has succeeded us this time?
We rocked in the clouds! Not only because of the smell of the coffee, its delicious taste or effective administration. We visited cafes situated on the roofs of Krakow's buildings. This time, to take a moment of pleasure with flowing coffee, we had to climb. So, dear ladies and gentlemen. Is said to be, it's the coffee that adds charm to the place, but we know well, that both factors can interact equally strongly.
Coffee lover's walk no 3 it was adorned with poetry. Because artists also need a coffee kick! For example, Szymborska ... [I guess you didn't think so, that these great volumes and collections were created out of coffee starvation! 😉 ] She also enjoyed her coffee. Mickiewicz himself was delighted with the black drink! He even devoted a fragment of "Pan Tadeusz" to him, in which he describes the 19th-century brewing ritual (those who are interested are referred to the poem, and even more interesting, we recommend the movie! You would like to bite into the screen ...).
From the nineteenth century, we land in modern times and cafes, which we can look at today. One of the cafes serving coffee on the roof is Cafe Szał - a cafe in the Sukiennice. At the Gallery of Polish Art in the Sukiennice. With a view of the Market Square and St. Mary's Church. Something else needs to be added?
They also offer panoramic views of Krakow, for example: a cafe above the Kossak hotel or Vidok nad Jubilatem, from which you can admire Wawel or "sail away" with the current of the Vistula ...
Staying on Wawel - we will find here the "Sweet Wawel" cafe. It is 15. Wawel company showroom, which decided to expand the chain of stores under its own brand. This cafe offers an observation deck overlooking the Vistula boulevard. Is it possible to have more Wawel than in the "Sweet Wawel" at Wawel??!
Each of the cafes has its own, original atmosphere. Which of the rooftop cafes I personally like best? Hmm, I guess, that first I would have to visit all of the ... A feature of the rooftop cafe is this, that its interior is not the most important here, but the panorama stretching out on the horizon. That is the factor, which distinguishes such premises from all others, and in a way makes them unique. Choosing from rooftop cafes, I guess I would have a preference for the view, which we would like to admire.
