Classic Peanut Butter

Classic Peanut Butter.

My older child, when asked what to eat a sandwich with, He will ALWAYS answer, that with peanut butter. Nicpoń is a huge fan of peanut butter – complemented product. Since we do ours at home (in fact, I will not lie if I tell you, that Nicpoń does and I help him a little) I let Him more often. Source of protein and energy. Fat, because these are nuts, but without sugar, preservatives, etc.. Peanuts and a little salt.

I have the ambition to raise the Young to be someone, who in the kitchen can do more than boil water for tea, that's why I let him help despite the mess he leaves behind. This is a nice recipe because it is relatively "clean" (if you are not shelling nuts with your baby).

Our peanuts were in the shell, you can buy shelled and roasted, but the butter may turn out to be greasy.

Peanut butter

on 1 a small jar

500g peanuts in shells (without the shells, I'd use half)
pinch of salt
a little oil (not necessarily)

you can add cinnamon, vanilla extract, etc..

Roast the shelled peanuts in a dry frying pan or in the oven (200stC -10min) we mix so that they do not burn. They are ready when the red shells come off easily. Remove the skins by rubbing the peanuts together (can be wrapped in a cloth and then rubbed). Put the peanuts into a food processor or blender and mix them. At the beginning, you often have to scratch the peanuts off the sides. Then it becomes a mass and falls off by itself. They will be very dry at first, but I advise you to wait before adding the oil. Nuts are really very greasy so it's easy to overdo it. Instead of adding oil at this point, they can be mixed with a tablespoon of oil before roasting. I usually don't add anything, I recently added half a teaspoon. Finally, add a pinch of salt or other additives.

P.S. such butter can also be made from other nuts
