Layered Greek salad with feta

Fans of various flavors can successfully experiment in their own kitchen with preparing tasty ones, filling and most importantly - healthy layered salads made of vegetables and fruit.

In previous articles of our website, we have already talked a bit about the popular and eagerly eaten in our homes on the occasion Easter or important tasty celebrations herring salads and exotic Hawaiian salads. Below we present original recipes for preparing light and tasty Greek and Mexican salads, usually served with hot sauce.

ORIGINAL GREEK SALAD
ingredients:

  • feta cheese packaging,
  • head of iceberg lettuce,
  • fresh cucumber,
  • Red onion,
  • 2 medium tomatoes,
  • a jar of green olives,
  • olive oil,
  • salt, pepper

a method of preparing:

Tear iceberg lettuce into smaller pieces and put into a bowl. Cut the cucumber into slices, then cut them in half. Divide the tomatoes into 8 equal parts and place on the lettuce. Dice the cheese into small cubes, while the olives in halves and add to the rest of the ingredients. Prepare the olive oil sauce and a tablespoon of water, season to taste and pour over the salad.

 

GREEK SALAD WITH HERBS
ingredients:

  • a pack of fatty feta cheese,
  • a head of iceberg lettuce or a pack of colorful lettuce mix,
  • 4 tomatoes,
  • Red pepper,
  • green pepper,
  • 2 medium onions,
  • a jar of pitted green olives,
  • fresh cucumber,
  • basil, thyme, oregano,
  • 3 spoons of olive oil,
  • salt, pepper

a method of preparing:

Tear the lettuce into smaller pieces and place in a dish. Add the tomatoes cut into quarters, sliced ​​onion, cucumber slices, halves of olives and pistils of green and red peppers. Coarsely dice the cheese and mix all ingredients. Make a sauce with the oil, a little water and spices and pour it over the salad. Serve cold with light, on crisp bread.
